What We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. We store this to personalize your experience across the site.

As you use Eternal Light, we store the following on your behalf:

• Chapters you've marked complete across all 66 books
• Your reading streak and activity dates
• Daily devotion completions and SOAP notes
• Scripture topics you've saved in Seek
• Reading plans you've created
• Your username and profile photo if you set them
• Friend connections you've made with other users

We do not collect payment information, precise location data, or any data beyond what you directly create on this site.

How We Use It

Everything we collect exists solely to make your study experience personal and continuous. Your progress, streaks, notes, and favorites are yours — we use them only to display them back to you and, where you've chosen to connect with friends, to show your progress to them.

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not share it with third parties beyond what's necessary to operate the site.

Third-Party Services

Eternal Light uses the following third-party services to function:

• Google OAuth — handles sign-in securely. We never see your Google password.
• Supabase — stores your study data in a secure, hosted database with row-level security. Only you can read or write your own data.
• Render — hosts and serves the site.
• Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on the site.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data on their end.

Your Data, Your Control

You can sign out at any time using the Sign Out option in the nav bar. If you'd like your account and all associated data permanently deleted, email us and we'll remove it within 7 days.

Cookies & Storage

We use browser local storage to remember small preferences — such as your preferred Bible version in Seek and whether you've seen a streak milestone. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
